For today: whose child is in pain — her own life-breath withers; such is the mother's nature — thread-and-string, one life; her sukha-rest appears in the mother's own chitta; Tuka says — saints, you are very compassionate (like such mothers to us).

जिचें पीडे बाळ । प्राण तयेचा विकळ ॥१॥ ऐसा मातेचा स्वभाव । सूत्र दोरी एक जीव ॥ध्रु.॥ सुखाची विश्रांती । उमटे मातेचिये चित्ती ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे संत । तुम्ही बहु कृपावंत ॥३॥
Literal translation
English: Whose child is in pain — her prāṇa withers. Such is the mother's svabhāva — thread-and-string, one jīva. Sukha-viśrānti appears in the mother's chitta. Tuka says: saints, you are very kṛpāvanta.

What it means
Mother-child-one-jīva + saints-as-kṛpāvanta-mothers abhang.
The opening: jicēm pīḍē bāḷa — prāṇa tayēcā vikaḷa — whose child is in pain — her prāṇa withers. When the child is in pain, the mother's very life-breath becomes-faint.
The thread-string-image: aisā mātēcā svabhāva — sūtra dōrī ēka jīva — such is the mother's nature — thread-and-string, one jīva. Sūtra-dōrī = thread-and-string (= the umbilical-cord-and-tying-thread; the mother and child are one-life-thread-tied-together).
The reciprocal-sukha: sukhācī viśrāntī — umaṭē mātēciyē chittī — sukha-viśrānti — appears in mother's chitta. When the child is happy-and-rested, the mother's chitta also-rests-in-sukha.
The closing: Tukā mhaṇē samta — tumhī bahu kṛpāvanta — Tuka says: saints — you are very kṛpāvanta. The saints are like such-mothers-to-bhaktas; one-jīva-with-the-bhakta-suffering-and-rejoicing.
