Abhanga 1737

For today: you saints have placed your feet in my chitta itself; now Time cannot bind me — even the asymmetric (dualities) has become cool; there is no fear in my mind — Deva dwells in my house and in the forest; Tuka says — fear now doesn't even come in dream.

What it means

Saints'-feet-placed-no-fear-no-Time-bind abhang.

The opening: tumhī pāya samtīm — mājhē ṭhēviyēlē chittīyou, saints — (your) feet placed in my chitta. The saints have placed-their-feet in the bhakta's chitta-itself.

The Time-no-bind: ātām bādhūm na sakē kāḷa — jālīm viṣama śītaḷanow Time can't bind — the asymmetric has become śītaḷa. Viṣama = the asymmetric / the inequitable / the dual-distinctions; śītaḷa = cool, calm. The Time-binding is broken; the dualities have become cooled.

The no-fear: bhaya nāhīm manīm — Deva vasē gharīm rānīmno fear in mind — Deva dwells in house, in forest. Wherever I am — house or wilderness — Deva dwells.

The closing: Tukā mhaṇē bhayē — ātām svapnīm hī na yēTuka says: fear — now even in dream — doesn't come. Even in dreams, no fear arises now.
