What it means
Kalpa-tree-bhāva-determines-fruit + own-mind-determines-loss-gain abhang. OPENS new cluster on bhāva-determined-fruit.
The opening: kalpa-tarū-khālīm — phaḷē yētī māgītalīm — under kalpa-tree — fruits come as asked. The kalpa-tarū (wish-fulfilling-tree) gives whatever-is-asked.
The crucial bhāva-determination: tēthē baisalyāchā bhāva — vichārūni bōlē ṭhāva — the sitting-there's bhāva — considered — speak the place. Under-the-kalpa-tree, the bhāva-of-the-one-sitting determines-the-fruit; speak-the-place-considered. The Lord-as-kalpa-tree gives-according-to-bhāva — if you sit with-petty-thoughts, petty-fruit; if-grand-bhāva, grand-fruit.
The reply-and-return: dyāvē tē uttara — yētō prati-tyāchā phēra — what reply to give — its return-turn comes. Whatever-reply-you-give, the-return-comes-of-that-kind.
The closing — own-mind: Tukā mhaṇē manīm — āpulyā cha lābha-hāni — Tuka says: in the mind — one's own gain-or-loss. Gain-and-loss are-determined-by one's-own-mind (= under-the-kalpa-tree, your bhāva is-your-fate).
