कर्कशसंगति । दुःख उदंड फजिती ॥१॥ नाहीं इह ना परलोक । मजुर दिसे जैसें रंक ॥ध्रु.॥ वचन सेंटावरी । त्याचें ठेवूनि धिक्कारी ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे पायीं बेडी । पडिली कपाळीं कुर्हाडी ॥३॥ ॥४॥

English: Harsh-rough company — much misery — disgrace. No this-world nor other-world — laborer appears like a beggar. Words on/under the broom — (he) places his and despises. Tuka says: fetters on the feet — axe fell on the forehead. ॥4॥

The opening: karkaśa-samgati — duḥkha udaṇḍa phajitī — harsh-rough company — much misery, disgrace. Bad-company (karkaśa = harsh, abrasive) brings much-misery-and-disgrace.
The both-worlds-lost: nāhīm iha nā paralōka — majura disē jaisē ranka — no this-world nor other-world — laborer appears like a beggar. One loses-both-worlds; the worker looks-like-a-beggar (gains-nothing).
The broom-and-despise: vachana sēṇṭāvarī — tyāchē ṭhēvūni dhikkārī — words on/under the broom — (he) places his and despises. Sēṇṭā = broom (of palm-leaf). He puts (the master's) words under-the-broom (= sweeps-them-aside) and-despises.
The closing — total disaster: Tukā mhaṇē pāyīm bēḍī — paḍilī kapāḷīm kurhāḍī — Tuka says: fetters on the feet — axe fell on the forehead. Fetters on-the-feet + axe-fell-on-the-forehead — complete entrapment-and-blow. The fate of-the-bad-company-keeper.
