For today: how many excuses can I give to you — you know the inside, Pāṇḍurangā; now into my hand give hita — make my chitta's satisfaction; even if anger comes, don't cut its neck — for the child, who else but mother?; Tuka says — such fame will spread — the samartha's child begs alms.

किती तुजपाशीं देऊं परिहार । जाणसी अंतर पांडुरंगा ॥१॥ आतां माझें हातीं देई हित । करीं माझें चित्ती समाधान ॥ध्रु.॥ राग आला तरी कापूं नये मान । बाळा मायेविण कोण दुजें ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे ऐसा होईंल लौकिक । मागे बाळ भीक समर्थाचें ॥३॥
Literal translation
English: How many excuses can I give to you — you know the inside, Pāṇḍurangā. Now into my hand give hita — make my chitta's satisfaction. Even if anger comes, don't cut (its) neck — for the child, who else but mother? Tuka says: such fame will spread — the samartha's child begs alms.

The opening — no-more-excuses: kitī tujapāśīm dē'ūm parihāra — jāṇasī antara Pāṇḍurangā — how many excuses can I give to you — you know the inside. No-use giving-excuses; you-know-inside.
The plea: ātām mājhē hātīm dē'ī hita — karī mājhē chittī samādhāna — now into my hand give hita — make my chitta's satisfaction. Place-hita in-my-hand; bring-chitta-to-satisfaction.
The angry-mother-and-child line: rāga ālā tarī kāpūm nayē māna — bāḷā māyēviṇa kōṇa dujē — even if anger comes, don't cut (its) neck — for the child, who else but mother. Even-angry, a-mother doesn't-cut-the-child's-neck; who-else does-the-child-have but-the-mother?. The child-mother bond doesn't-break with-anger.
The samartha-child-begging line: Tukā mhaṇē aisā hō'īla laukika — māgē bāḷa bhīka samarthāchē — such fame will spread — the samartha's child begs alms. It-will-become-public-fame: the all-powerful's-child is-begging-alms — shaming-the-samartha to-fulfill.
