खोट्याचा विकरा । येथें नव्हे कांच हिरा ॥१॥ काय दावायाचें काम । उगा च वाढवावा श्रम ॥ध्रु.॥ परीक्षकाविण । मिरवों जाणों तें तें हीण ॥२॥ तुका पायां पडे । वाद पुरे हे झगडे ॥३॥ ॥२॥
Literal translation
English: Sale of the false — here, a piece of glass isn't a diamond. What's the work of showing — needlessly grow toil? Without a tester — whatever we know to display becomes inferior. Tukā falls at the feet — enough of this disputation, this quarrel. ॥2॥

The opening — false-sale: khōṭyāchā vikarā — yēthē navhē kāñcha hirā — sale of the false — here, a piece of glass isn't a diamond. In this market (= bhakti, satsanga), glass-doesn't-pass-as-diamond. The false-cannot-be-sold-here.
The pointless-display: kāya dāvāyāchē kāma — ugā cha vāḍhavāvā śrama — what's the work of showing — needlessly grow toil. Why-show — just-needlessly-grow-toil?
The without-tester principle: parīkṣakāviṇa — miravōm jāṇōm tē tē hīṇa — without a tester — whatever we know to display becomes inferior. Parīkṣaka = examiner, tester. Without a-tester, even what-we-display-knowing becomes-inferior. (= display before-the-untested-eye is-self-corrupting.)
The closing — falls-at-feet, enough: Tukā pāyām paḍē — vāda purē hē jhagaḍē — Tukā falls at the feet — enough of this disputation, this quarrel. Tukā falls-at-the-feet (of the Lord/saints) — enough of disputation, of quarrel. The bhakta withdraws-from-controversy by-prostration.
The ॥२॥ colophon closes a 2-abhang sub-cluster (2169-2170) — both share the false-speech vs true-essence theme: 2169's vāk-net-of-ornament-words against 2170's glass-vs-diamond.
