करितां होया व्हावें चित्ती चि नाहीं । घटापटा कांहीं करूं नये ॥१॥ मग हालत चि नाहीं जवळून । करावा तो सीण सीणवितो ॥ध्रु.॥ साहत चि नाहीं कांहीं पांकुळलें । उगल्या उगलें ढळत आहे ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे तरी बोलावें झांकून । येथें खुणे खूण पुरतें चि ॥३॥
Literal translation
English: Doing-yes-saying isn't in the chitta — don't do ghaṭa-paṭa anything. Then [it] doesn't move from the side — what one would do, it tires the tirer. Doesn't bear anything, has hardened — empty things keep tilting. Tuka says: then speak covered — here the sign matches the sign exactly.

The opening — yes-without-chitta: karitām hōyā vhāvē chittī chi nāhīm — ghaṭā-paṭā kāmhīm karūm nayē — doing-yes-saying isn't in the chitta — don't do ghaṭa-paṭa anything. Ghaṭā-paṭā = pot-and-cloth (= the Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika philosophical-illustration; here used as back-and-forth dispute, philosophical-mess). The yes-saying isn't-in-the-chitta; don't-do any-pot-and-cloth (= dispute/wrangle).
The tiring: maga hālata chi nāhīm javaḷūni — karāvā tō sīṇa sīṇavitō — then [it] doesn't move from the side — what one would do, it tires the tirer. Then-(when-forced)-it-doesn't-move from-the-side; what-one-does, it-tires-the-tirer.
The hardened-and-tilting: sāhata chi nāhīm kāmhīm pānkuḷalē — ugalyā ugalē ḍhaḷata āhē — doesn't bear anything, has hardened — empty things keep tilting. (It) doesn't-bear-anything, has-hardened; empty-things keep-tilting (= falling-on-their-own).
The closing — covered-speech, sign-matches-sign: Tukā mhaṇē tarī bōlāvē jhānkūn — yēthē khuṇē khūṇa puratē chi — Tuka says: then speak covered — here the sign matches the sign exactly. Jhānkūn = covered, veiled. Khuṇa = sign, mark. Then-speak-covered (= veiled-speech, hint-only); here-the-sign-matches-the-sign exactly (= secret-recognition between-the-knowing-ones).
