Abhanga 2451
For today: what will you become; leave the logicians — remember Pāṇḍuranga ; don't chase doctrines; Tukā tells people in Kali .
The verse
Literal translation
Hear, hear, bhāvika-people — what will you become. Leave the tārkikas' company — remember Pāṇḍuranga. Don't seek doctrinal-differences — the unrevealed real submerges. In Kali, servant Tukā — goes telling people.
What it means
THE LEAVE-TĀRKIKAS-REMEMBER-PĀṆḌURAṄGA + TUKĀ-THE-KALI-MESSENGER ABHANG.
The anti-tārkika polemic: tākikāñchā ṭākā sanga — Pāṇḍuranga smarā hō — leave the tārkikas' (logicians') company — remember Pāṇḍuranga. Tārkika = logician, philosopher, dialectician. Compare 2421's purē purē tumchē Brahma-jñāna. Don't keep company with tārkikas; remember Pāṇḍuranga.
THE KALI-MESSENGER: kalimadhyē dāsa Tukā — jātō lōkām sāngata — in Kali, servant Tukā — goes telling people. In-Kali-yuga, servant-Tukā goes-telling-people. Tukārām's self-identification as Kali-yuga-messenger for-bhakti.
