Abhanga 2496

For today: those who say Jaya Jaya Hari at kīrtana-end — that's the fruit of all sukṛta ; chitta alert in Hari-kathā; birth successful .

When you attend a kirtan or satsang and are tempted to leave before it ends

When your mind drifts during a shared prayer or chant instead of staying focused

When you doubt that simple communal worship can be as meaningful as solitary effort

The verse

विठ्ठल कीर्तनाचे अंतीं । जय जय हरी जे म्हणती ॥१॥ तें चि सुकृताचें फळ । वाचा रामनामें निखळ ॥ध्रु.॥ बैसोनि हरिकथेसी । होय सावध चित्तासी ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे त्याचा जन्म । सुफळ जाला भवक्रम ॥३॥

Literal translation

At the end of Viṭhṭhal-kīrtana — those who say Jaya Jaya Hari. That's the fruit of sukṛta — pure-by-Rāma-Name speech. Seated in Hari-kathā — chitta becomes alert. Tuka says: that one's birth — successful bhava-cycle.

What it means
