Abhanga 2513
Standing before God like a hopeful beggar, ready to accept whatever comes, is itself the essence of devotion.
When you are waiting anxiously to hear back after an interview, application, or important decision
When you have surrendered a problem to prayer and now must resist the urge to control the outcome
When you catch yourself bargaining with God or fate instead of simply trusting and waiting
The verse
मुखाकडे वास । पाहें करूनियां आस ॥१॥ आतां होईंल ते शिरीं । मनोगत आज्ञा धरीं ॥ध्रु.॥ तुम्हीं अंगीकार । केला पाहिजे हें सार ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे दारीं । उभें याचक मीं हरी ॥३॥
Literal translation
Looking at the face — looking with hope. Whatever — take on head — accept heart's intention. You must accept — this is the essence. Tuka says: at the door — I stand as beggar, Hari.

The beggar-image: dārīm ubhē yāchaka mīm Harī — at the door — I stand as beggar, Hari. I-stand AT-THE-DOOR as-a-beggar, Hari. Companion to 2510's yāchakānē thōrī dātayāchī.
