Abhanga 2529

True freedom comes from staying constantly and willingly close to the one you serve, never letting a moment separate you.

When you commit to a devotional practice and want it to be unwavering.
When you feel a habit or attachment finally lose its grip once you surrender to something higher.
When you notice yourself drifting from your practice and choose to return without delay.

The verse

Literal translation

With this lameness — at the feet — will stay with certainty. Will do the service told — all servant-status, Dēvā. Bondage's shackle broke — this is association for us. Tuka says: no moment — without feet's separation.

What it means

THE NO-MOMENT-AWAY-FROM-FEET ABHANG.

[T]

For someone today

For today: no moment away from the feet.
