Abhanga 2537
Once you truly hold onto something steady and powerful, no harm can undo you, and its compassion stays steady even when your own patience runs out.
When you've placed your trust in someone steady and no longer fear ruin.
When anxiety makes you want to call out and be answered right away.
When your patience runs thin but you trust the other side remains steady regardless.
The verse
समर्थाची धरिली कास । आतां नाश काशाचा ॥१॥ धांव पावें करीन लाहो । तुमच्या आहो विठ्ठला ॥ध्रु.॥ न लगे मज पाहाणें दिशा । हाकेसरिसा ओढसी ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे नव्हे धीर । तुम्हां स्थिर दयेनें ॥३॥
Literal translation
Held the powerful's pallu — what destruction now. Come, will rejoice — yours, Viṭhṭhala. No need to look at directions — you pull at the call. Tuka says: no patience — you firm in compassion.
