Abhanga 2544
For today: all techniques fail — saints' feet remain — abhaya-dāna .
When you've exhausted every method or technique and still haven't found peace.
When you're ready to stop pretending to know and simply let your inner self witness the truth.
When a teacher or trusted community offers you reassurance that finally settles your fear.
The verse
युिक्त तंव जाल्या कुंटित सकळा । उरली हे कळा जीवनाची ॥१॥ संतचरणीं भावें ठेविलें मस्तक । जोडोनि हस्तक राहिलोंसें ॥ध्रु.॥ जाणपणें नेणें कांहीं चि प्रकार । साक्षी तें अंतर अंतरासी ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे तुम्ही केलें अभयदान । जेणें समाधान राहिलेंसे ॥३॥
Literal translation
All techniques became inert — only this life-art remained. At saints' feet, with bhāva placed head — hands folded, stayed. By knowing, know-nothing — inner is witness to inner. Tuka says: you gave abhaya-dāna — by which samādhāna remains.
