Abhanga 2558
God's giving is never lacking, but what you actually gain in life depends on the merit and good qualities you yourself have cultivated.
When you feel anxious that life or God won't provide enough for you.
When you wonder why your own effort and character still matter even when grace is available.
When you're choosing what qualities to cultivate, knowing they will shape what you eventually gain.
The verse
देईंल तें उणें नाहीं । याचे कांहीं पदरीं ॥१॥ पाहिजे तें संचित आतां । येथें सत्ता करावया ॥ध्रु.॥ गुणां ऐसा भरणा भरी। जो जें चारी तें लाभे ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे देवीं देव । फळे भव आपुला ॥३॥
Literal translation
What he gives doesn't lack — this is in his pallu. Now sanchita needed — to exercise authority here. Filled by such guṇa — what each desires is gained. Tuka says: Dēvī's Dēva — bhava bears its own fruit.
