Abhanga 2557

For today: now I've become master — what I do, the authority is mine .

When years of steady effort finally settle into an easy, natural sense of provision.
When a hidden exhaustion lifts because you're no longer straining against your life.
When you realize you've earned enough maturity to trust your own judgment fully.

The verse

Literal translation

By authority, meal comes at-time — service-with-rasa happens. Secret-removed exhaustion — became one-with — heart-residing union. Sanchita gathered in pocket — measure became fixed wealth. Tuka says: now I've become master — what I do, the authority is mine.

What it means

THE AUTHORITY-IS-MINE ABHANG.

The closing-claim: Tukā mhaṇē dhaṇī aiśā jālōm ātām — karīna tē sattā mājhī āhēnow I've become master — what I do, the authority is mine. I-have-become-master (dhaṇī) now; whatever-I-do, the-authority is-mine. The bhakta-comes-into-his-inheritance. Compare 2418's mājhī sattā āhē tumhām pāyām varatī (my authority is over your feet) — the bhakta's-bhakti-inheritance grants-him-authority.
