Abhanga 2567
Worldly entanglement never really touches the divine; a restless mind is what harms you, so stay fixed in surrender and God will embrace and lift you up.
The verse
Literal translation
For worldly, this expanse-entanglement — nothing reaches Dēva. Place head — never lift — at feet — at-the-place, don't budge. By shaken mind, melted form — pāpa is just-name of upādhi. Tuka says: Dēva with prīti embraces — keeps near, lifting.
What it means
THE PLACE-HEAD-NEVER-LIFT-AT-FEET ABHANG.
The instruction: ṭhēvāvā māthā tō nuchalāvā pāyīm — ṭhānyīñchiyē ṭhāñīm hālōm nayē — place head — never lift — at feet — at-the-place, don't budge. Place-the-head at-the-feet, NEVER LIFT-IT; at-the-place, don't-budge. Fix-yourself-at-the-feet, immovable.
[T]
For someone today
For today: place head at the feet — never lift — don't budge; Dēva embraces with prīti, lifts and keeps near.
