Abhanga 2574

The verse

Literal translation

English: ★ Don't let the knot tie us together — known now, Jagajēṭhī ★. How to say to the bad — don't touch once disgust has come. Spoken-of, this is the experience — pressure-burden will sink the same. Tuka says: ready experience came — how much can you cover, Dēvā.

What it means

★ THE DON'T-TIE-THE-KNOT BHAKTA'S-THREAT ABHANG ★.

A reverse-protest — instead-of-clinging, Tukārām threatens-not-to-clutch. The bhakta's-back-and-forth with-the-Lord includes-both grip-tighter (2566) and don't-tie (2574) moods.

For someone today
