Abhanga 2585
When longing is real, it is fair to ask directly for a quick response instead of more delay, because feelings of love come in surges and need to be honored while present.
When you are tired of waiting and want to ask directly for what you need
When you notice a feeling of love or longing rising in you and want to act on it before it passes
When you are being pulled into distraction and want to insist on what actually matters right now
The verse
तांतडीनें आम्हां धीर चि न कळे । पाळावे हे लळे लवलाहीं ॥१॥ नका कांहीं पाहों सावकाशीं देवा । करा एक हेवा तुमचा माझा ॥ध्रु.॥ वोरसाचा हेवा सांभाळावी प्रीत । नाहीं राहों येत अंगीं सदा ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे मज नका गोवूं खेळा । भोजनाची वेळा राखियेली ॥३॥
Literal translation
By haste we know no patience — fulfill these whims quickly. Don't look slowly, Dēvā — make one-association yours-and-mine. Tide's envy — preserve prīti — doesn't always stay in body. Tuka says: don't entangle me in game — meal-time kept.
