Abhanga 2920
Nāhī tuja kāmhī māgata sampattī — I am not asking you (for) any sampatti (wealth); āṭhavaṇa chitti asō dyāvī — let āṭhavaṇa (remembrance) be in (my) chitta.
The verse
नाहीं तुज कांहीं मागत संपत्ती । आठवण चित्ती असों द्यावी ॥१॥
सरलिया भोग येईंन सेवटीं । पायापें या भेटी अनुसंधानें ॥ध्रु.॥
आतां मजसाटीं याल आकारास । रोकडी हे आस नाहीं देवा ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे मुखीं असो तुझें नाम । देईंल तो श्रम देवो काळ ॥३॥
Literal translation
Nāhī tuja kāmhī māgata sampattī — I am not asking you (for) any sampatti (wealth); āṭhavaṇa chitti asō dyāvī — let āṭhavaṇa (remembrance) be in (my) chitta. Saraliyā bhōga yeīna sevaṭī — when bhōga (allotted-experiencing) is done, I will come at the end; pāyāpe yā bhēṭī anusandhāne — to (your) feet, for bhēṭī (meeting) by anusandhāna (connection, link). Ātām majsāṭī yāla ākārāsa — for me, now, (you) don't have to come into ākāra (form); rōkḍī he āsa nāhī Devā — I have no rōkḍī āsa (cash-hope, immediate-demand), Deva. Tukā says: mukhī asō tujhe nāma — let your Name be in (my) mouth; deīla tō śrama devō kāḷa — let kāḷa (Time, Yama) give the śrama (toil) (it gives) — let him.
What it means
A short contented-bhakta verse. Nāhī tuja kāmhī māgata sampattī — āṭhavaṇa chitti asō dyāvī — I am not asking sampatti — let remembrance be in chitta. The opening-position: I ask-only for chitta-remembrance, not for wealth.
Saraliyā bhōga yeīna sevaṭī — pāyāpe yā bhēṭī anusandhāne — when bhōga is done, I will come at the end — for meeting by anusandhāna. The patient-claim: let the allotted-bhōga finish; I'll come at-the-end to-meet-(you) by anusandhāna (deep-connection-line).
Ātām majsāṭī yāla ākārāsa — rōkḍī he āsa nāhī Devā — (you) don't have to come into ākāra for me — I have no cash-hope. Rōkḍī āsa — cash-immediate-hope, demand-for-immediate-darśana. The bhakta has no-such-demand.
The close: Tukā mhaṇe mukhī asō tujhe nāma — deīla tō śrama devō kāḷa — let your Name be in mouth — let Kāḷa give whatever toil it gives. The equanimous-position: I'm-content-with-the-Name-in-my-mouth; Yama-can-do-whatever. (Pairs with 2855 kāḷa-yama-becomes-śaraṇa-to-Hari-japaka.)

A useful contented-bhakta claim. I am not asking sampatti — let remembrance be in chitta. When bhōga is done, I will come at the end — for meeting by anusandhāna. (You) don't have to come into ākāra for me — I have no cash-hope. Let your Name be in mouth — let Kāḷa give whatever toil it gives. The verse permits the patient-contented-bhakta posture: (1) ask only chitta-remembrance, not wealth; (2) bhōga must finish; meeting comes at end; (3) no demand for immediate darśana; (4) Name-in-mouth is enough; Yama may do as he will. The discipline: contentment-with-Name-and-remembrance-now; meeting at the appointed-end.
