Sōḷā sahasra hōūm yete — sixteen-thousand have come; bharale rite āmhā-pe — (coming) empty, were filled at our (place).
The verse
सोळा सहस्र होऊं येतें । भरलें रितें आम्हापें ॥१॥
ऐसे तुम्हां ठायाठाव । देव म्हुण संपादे ॥ध्रु.॥
कैची चिरामध्यें चिरे । मना बरें आलें तें ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे पांडुरंगा । अंगलगा भिन्न करा ॥३॥
Literal translation
Sōḷā sahasra hōūm yete — sixteen-thousand have come; bharale rite āmhā-pe — (coming) empty, were filled at our (place). Aise tumhām ṭhāyāṭhāva — such (are) your ṭhāyā-ṭhāva (places and places); Deva mhuṇa sampāde — by saying Deva, (Deva-paṇa) is sampāde (supplied, fulfilled). Kaichī chirā-madhye chire — how (can there be) chirā-madhye chire (stone-within-stone)?; manā bare āle te — whatever comes good to mind. Tukā says: Pāṇḍurangā — (O) Pāṇḍurangā; anga-lagā bhinna karā — keep (your) anga-lagā (body-attachment, embodied-form) bhinna (separate).
What it means
A short striking bhakta-supplies-Deva-paṇa verse. The number-sōḷā-sahasra (16,000) is the canonical-count of Krṣṇa's-gopīs (or rescued-wives in the Narakāsura story). The reference is to all-16,000 having come to-us (the bhaktas) — meaning the entire-gopī-community-and-its-bhāva is concentrated in-the-bhakta.
