Kānhōbā's Name-mahima. Saying Rāma — kāma-krōdha burns — pride exiled. Saying Rāma — karma broken — bhava-bandhana — no toil, no fatigue even in dream. Saying Rāma — no janma, no garbha-vāsa — never a vessel of poverty. Saying Rāma — Yama becomes a pitiful refugee — steady pada — what else is there? Saying Rāma — all dharma will happen — the triple-darkness easily perishes. Saying Rāma — Tukārām's-brother says — bhava-sindhu will be crossed — no doubt. The verse permits the canonical Name-mahima from-the-brother's-mouth.

राम म्हणतां कामक्रोधांचें दहन । होय अभिमान देशधडी ॥१॥
राम म्हणतां कर्म तुटेल भवबंधन । नये श्रम सीण स्वप्नास ही ॥ध्रु.॥
राम म्हणे जन्म नाहीं गर्भवास । नव्हे दारिद्रास पात्र कधीं ॥२॥
राम म्हणतां यम शरणागत बापुडें । आढळ पद पुढें काय तेथें ॥३॥
राम म्हणतां धर्म घडतील सकळ । त्रिमिर पडळ नासे हेळा ॥४॥
राम म्हणतां म्हणे तुकयाचा बंधु । तरिजेल भवसिंधु संदेह नाहीं ॥५॥
Literal translation
Rāma mhaṇatām kāma-krōdhāñce dahana — saying Rāma — kāma-krōdha's dahana (burning); hōya abhimāna deśadhaḍī — (it) happens — abhimāna becomes deśadhaḍī (exile). Rāma mhaṇatām karma tuṭela bhava-bandhana — saying Rāma — karma will-break — bhava-bandhana; naye śrama sīṇa svapnāsa hī — no śrama-sīṇa comes — not even in a svapna. Rāma mhaṇe janma nāhī garbha-vāsa — saying Rāma — no janma, no garbha-vāsa; navhe dāridrāsa pātra kadhīm — never becomes a vessel of dāridra. Rāma mhaṇatām yama śaraṇāgata bāpuḍe — saying Rāma — Yama (becomes) a pitiful śaraṇāgata; āḍhaḷa pada puḍhe kāya tethe — steady pada — what (else). Rāma mhaṇatām dharma ghaḍatīla sakaḷa — saying Rāma — all dharma will happen; trimira paḍaḷa nāse heḷā — the trimira-paḍaḷa easily perishes. Rāma mhaṇatām mhaṇe tukayāchā bandhu — tarijela bhava-sindhu samdeha nāhī — saying Rāma — Tukārām's-brother says — bhava-sindhu will be crossed — no doubt.
