सुनियांची आवडी देवा । घेत सेवा नाहीं कांहीं ॥१॥
सिकविलें जवळी बैसों । जेथें असों तेथें चि ॥ध्रु.॥
नेदी दुजें बोलों करूं । गुरुगुरु न साहे ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे कृवाळितां । अंग सत्ता संगाची ॥३॥
Literal translation
Sune-fondness-Deva, no-other-sevā. Taught-sit-near; where-Lord-is, dog-too. Doesn't-let-other-speak; growls-not-tolerated. Tukā: caressed-anga-sattā-of-sanga.

The 3rd of the sune-cluster. The dog wants only Deva's company; growls at any other.

Still speaking as the Lord's watchdog, Tukaram describes a fondness so complete it wants no other service, no other master. The dog has been trained to sit close, staying wherever God is, and it will not tolerate anything or anyone else trying to speak or act in its place, growling if another presence pushes in. Tukaram says this closeness itself, being touched and cared for by the Lord, gives the dog a kind of quiet authority that comes only from that intimate bond. The lesson is that undivided devotion is not weakness or dependence, it is what grounds you and gives you standing.
