वांझेनें दाविलें ग†हवार लक्षणें । चिरगुटें घालून वाथयाला ॥१॥ तेवीं शब्दज्ञानी करिती चावटी । ज्ञान पोटासाटीं विकूनियां ॥ध्रु.॥ बोलाचि च कढी बोलाचा चि भात । जेवुनियां तृप्त कोण जाला ॥२॥ कागदीं लिहितां नामाची साकर । चाटितां मधुर गोडी नेदी ॥३॥ तुका म्हणे जळो जळो ते महंती । नाहीं लाज चित्तीं आठवण ॥४॥

Vāmjhene dāvile garhvāra lakṣaṇebarren-woman shows pregnancy-marks; chiraguṭe ghālūna vāthayālāstuffing rag in (the cloth). Tevīm śabda-jñānī karitī chāvaṭīso the śabda-jñānī chatters; jñāna pōṭāsāṭīm vikūnīyāmselling jñāna for belly. Bōlāñci cha kaḍhī bōlāñcā chi bhātacurry-of-words, rice-of-words; jevuniyām trpta kōṇa jālāeating these, who got trpta. Kāgadīm lihitām nāmāñcī sākarawriting Name's sugar on paper; chāṭitām madhura gōḍī nedīlicking, no sweetness. Tukā mhaṇe jaḷō jaḷō te mahamtīTukā says: burn-burn such mahāntī; nāhī lāja chittīm āṭhavaṇano lāja in chitti, no āṭhavaṇa.
