Literal translation
Bhōḷē-bhakti-bhāva-Hrṣīkēśī-close. Abhāvika-sadā-khēda. Gaṇikā-saved-by-Name — sajñānī-khaṭāṭōpa. Tukā: not-my-jāti-shuddha — Hari-Nāma-made-thōrī-khyātī.
What it means
A 3-verse bhōḷē-bhakti text. Those who hold simple devotion in their hearts — Hrṣīkēśī is close to them. Those without bhāva — what shall I say of their regret? Courtesans and such-like were saved by the Name — while knowledge-experts fell into frantic-trouble. My caste is not pure — but Hari-Nāma has made me a great renown. The autobiographical line kāya śuddha mājhī jātī — thōrī khyātī Hari-Nāmēm (my caste is not pure — Hari-Nāma made the great-renown) is rare-direct.
