Abhanga 4054

The Hari-kathā gathering revives faded hearts; the sants notice and bring forward the poor-bhakta.

Tukārām's prema-distributed-at-Hari-kathā; sants-saw-me-poor claim

The verse

Literal translation

Hari-kathā happened — ranga spread; Pāṇḍuranga came-deservedly. He distributes prema — the worthy-giver — take it now to dhaṇī (full). Giving prema, made all sukhī — those who'd been colored-then-faded, (revived). Tukā: the sants saw this poor-one, brought (him) forward.

What it means

A 3-verse text on the Hari-kathā as prema-distribution. Tukārām claims the sants-saw-him-poor and-brought-him-forward — a humility-claim and a sant-sanga-gratitude.

For someone today
