तुका म्हणे तुझ्या नामाचिया बळें । अवघीयांचें काळें केलें तोंड ॥३॥
Literal translation
Day-night-yuddha — antara-bāhya-jaga-mana. Jīva-falls-into-āghāta — nityā-doing. Tukā: by-Nāma-baḷa — all-faces-blackened.
What it means
★ A 3-verse bhakta-as-warrior text. Day-and-night, we have an occasion of war; inside-and-outside, the world and the mind. Blows fall upon the soul (before it expects); they come constantly. By the power of your Name, I have blackened the faces of all of them (defeated and shamed them all). The military image avghīyāñchē kāḷēm kēlēm tōnḍa (blackened all their faces — Marathi idiom for utterly defeating and shaming) is striking.
