The verse
संतचरणरज लागतां सहज । वासनेचें बीज जळोन जाय ॥१॥
मग रामनामीं उपजे आवडी । सुख घडोघडी वाढों लागे ॥ध्रु.॥
कंठीं प्रेम दाटे नयनीं नीर लोटे । हृदयीं प्रगटे रामरूप ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे साधन सुलभ गोमटें । परि उपतिष्ठे पूर्वपुण्यें ॥३॥
Literal translation
Santa-charaṇa-raja lāgatām sahaja — vāsaneche bīja jaḷōna jāya: sant-feet-dust touches naturally — the vāsanā-seed burns and goes. Maga rāmanāmīm upaje āvaḍī — sukha ghaḍoghaḍī vāḍhōm lāge: then in Rāma-nāma āvaḍī arises — sukha begins to grow moment-by-moment. Kaṇṭhīm prema dāṭe nayanīm nīra lōṭe — hrdayīm pragaṭe rāmarūpa: love-floods-the-throat — tears-flow-from-eyes — Rāma-rūpa manifests in hrdaya. Tukā mhaṇe sādhana sulabha gomaṭe — pari upatiṣṭhe pūrvapuṇye: Tukā says: the sādhana is easy and beautiful — but it depends on pūrva-puṇya.
