Literal translation

Bā-rē-Pāṇḍurangā-when-bhēṭa — himpuṭī-without-you. No-other-sakhē — feel-like-embracing-charaṇa. Ōvāḷāvī-kāyā-on-charaṇa — when-Chakra-pāṇī-meet. Tukā: fulfil-āvaḍī — uḍī-Nārāyaṇa.

What it means

★ A 3-verse yearning text. Bā rē Pāṇḍurangā, when will you come for the meeting — I've become dried-up-and-parched without you? Without you, no friend feels (so to me) any other; I feel like going to embrace your feet. I would sacrifice my body over your feet — when will you meet, Chakra-pāṇī? Tukā says: fulfil my fond-wish — quickly place a leap, Nārāyaṇa. The image himpuṭī (dried-up, parched, sapless) is a striking word for the bhakta-without-Lord-darśana. Pair with 4359 (fawn-lost-in-vana).
