Abhanga 4410
If God provides for birds, pythons, and a thirsty bird that waits only for rain, then even someone as small as an ant can trust their own needs will be met.
The verse
पक्षीयाचे घरीं नाहीं सामुगरी । त्यांची चिंता करी नारायण ॥१॥
अजगर जनावर वारुळांत राहे । त्याजकडे पाहे पांडुरंग ॥ध्रु.॥
चातक हा पक्षी नेघे भूमिजळ । त्यासाटीं घननीळ नित्य वर्षे ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे आम्ही पिप्पलिकांची जात । पुरवीं मनोरथ पांडुरंगा ॥३॥
Literal translation
Bird's house — no supplies; Nārāyaṇa cares. Python-creature in burrow — Pāṇḍuranga watches. Chātaka doesn't take earth-water — for it ghan-nīḷa rains daily. Tukā: we are of pippilikā-jāti — fulfill mānōratha, Pāṇḍurangā.

A canonical creature-providence text. The Lord-cares-for-creatures-without-supplies. Bhakta-as-ant petitions: if-you-feed-them, fulfill-us.
For someone today
Tukaram looks at nature for proof that God provides. Birds keep no pantry, yet Narayana looks after them; even a python hidden away in its burrow is watched over by Panduranga; the chataka bird refuses ordinary water from the ground and waits only for rain, and the dark clouds oblige it every single day. If God cares this closely for creatures who cannot even ask, Tukaram reasons, then surely he too, small as an ant beside God, can trust that his own needs will be met.
मराठी: तुकाराम निसर्गाकडे पाहून देवाच्या पालनपोषणाचा पुरावा शोधतात. पक्ष्यांच्या घरात काहीही साठा नसतो, तरीही नारायण त्यांची काळजी घेतो; बिळात लपलेल्या अजगरासारख्या प्राण्याकडेही पांडुरंग लक्ष ठेवतो; चातक पक्षी जमिनीवरचे साधे पाणी पीत नाही, फक्त पावसाचीच वाट पाहतो, आणि घननीळ ढग रोज त्याच्यासाठी बरसतात. जर देव विचारही न करणाऱ्या प्राण्यांची इतकी काळजी घेतो, तर तुकाराम म्हणतात, देवासमोर मुंगीसारखे लहान असूनही आपल्याही गरजा नक्की पूर्ण होतील असा विश्वास ठेवता येतो.
