Abhanga 326
Simply speaking the names of saints, holding them on your tongue and in your mind, is enough to make you virtuous — no elaborate ritual or special qualification is required. Your voice never tires from this practice, and the reward it brings comes freely, without cost or effort. True rest is found not in worldly comfort but in devotion at the saints' feet — that is where the weary heart finds its resting place. And simply chanting their names, again and again, quietly washes away sin on its own.
The verse
Literal translation
Become puṇyavanta — by taking the nāva of sajjana. My vāc gets no tūṭi — great lābha for fukā. The viśrānti place — bhāva at the pāya of saints. Tuka says: by japa — saints' — pāpas go.

What it means
A short saint-naming abhang. Three claims:
-
पुण्यवंत व्हावें — घेतां सज्जनांची नांवें — become puṇyavanta by taking sajjanas' names. The direct-mechanic. Just taking the names of the saints (= naming them in your speech, holding them in mind) makes you puṇyavanta. No further-ritual required.
-
नेघे माझे वाचे तुटी — महा लाभ फुकासाठी — my vāc gets no break — great lābha for free. The vāc (speech / voice) gets no tūṭi (break, exhaustion). Continual saint-naming — and the great-gain comes forfukā(free). (Compare 197 fukā nāma āle; 315 Viṭhobā-name sulabha-sōpārē.)
-
विश्रांतीचा ठाव — पायीं संतांचिया भाव — the viśrānti place — bhāva at saints' feet. The resting-place. Where to rest — in bhāva at the saints' feet. (Bhāva-at-the-saints'-feet is the bhakta's home. Compare 264 real-kin remember Viṭhobā's feet.)
-
तुका म्हणे जपें — संतांचिया जाती पापें — Tuka says: by japa — saints' — pāpas go. The closing-claim. Japa-of-saints'-names removes pāpas. (Compare 285 Hanumat-japa removes sins; 258 anutāpa-with-hari-smaraṇa frees.)

For someone today
