When the deva is silent and the bhakta sees His-lajjā for-His-own-name — and you have to recognize this register

When vinmukha hurts both dātā and māgatā — and you accept this rule

When I won't move without Your uttara — and you receive this firm-stand

The verse

न बोलसी तें ही कळलें देवा । लाजसी आपुलिया नांवा । तुज मी नाहीं घालीत गोवा । भीड केशवा कासयाची ॥१॥ उतरीं आपुला हा पार । मजशीं बोलोनि उत्तर । माझा तुज नव्हे अंगीकार । मग विचार करीन मी ॥२॥ दात्या आणि मागत्यासी । धर्मनीति तरी बोलिली ऐसी । यथानशक्ति टाकेल तैसी । बाधी दोघांसी विन्मुखता ॥३॥ म्हणोनि करितों मी आस । तुझिया वचनाची वास । धीर हा करूनि सायास । न टळें नेमास आपुलिया ॥४॥ तुझें म्यां घेतल्या वांचून । न वजें एथूनि वचन । हा चि माझा नेम सत्य जाण । आहे नाहीं म्हणे तुका म्हणे ॥५॥

English: Don't speak — kaḷalē, deva — lajjā — own nāva. Not in gōvā — what bhīḍa, Keśava? Settle pāra — speak uttara — angīkāra not — then vicāra. Dātā-māgatā — dharma-nīti — yathā-śakti-tākēla — vinmukha — both bādha. Āsa I do — vacana wait — dhīra-sāyāsa — nēma won't move. Without taking — won't move — this nēma satya-jāṇa — yes-or-no — Tuka says.

न बोलसी तें ही कळलें देवा — opening-insight: that You don't speak — even that I've understood, deva; You feel lajjā for Your own nāva (name); I'm not putting You in a gōvā (entanglement); what bhīḍa, Keśava? Deva-silent-because-of-His-own-shame.
उतरीं आपुला हा पार — settle-pāra-by-uttara: settle pāra (the matter / situation) by speaking uttara (answer); if my angīkāra doesn't-happen, I'll decide. Demand-an-answer.
