1. Pandharī-राव-सांडुनियां — कवणातें-deva — चित्तीं-लाज — आणिकांतें-देव-म्हणतां. Whom-call-deva-shame-claim. AbandoningPandharī-rāva — whom shall I calldeva?; muchlāja(shame) in thecitta; calling-othersdeva. Whom-call-deva-once-Pandharī-abandoned.

2. हिरा-सांडुनियां — गारा-कोणें-वेचाव्या. Diamond-vs-pebbles-claim. Abandoning thehīrā(diamond); who would gather thosegārā(pebbles, hailstones — common-stones)?. Diamond-given-up-pebbles-meaningless.

3. Tuka: Hari-Hara-ऐसी-सांडुनियां-dhura. Hari-Hara-abandoning-axle-claim. Tuka says:Hari-Hara; abandoning such adhura(axle / chief / lead-bull-of-the-team). Hari-Hara-the-axle-abandoned. (The dhura is the lead-bull in a yoke; abandoning Hari-Hara is abandoning-the-lead-bull who-pulls-the-cart.)

2. Having given up a diamond, who would go gathering pebbles? Diamond versus pebbles.

3. Hari and Hara — abandoning such a lead bull is unthinkable. The lead bull abandoned.

Hari and Hara together are the very axle, the lead bull that pulls everything — abandoning such a guide is unthinkable.

This abhang is one of Tukaram's most emphatic statements about never leaving Pandhari, built on the questions of whom else to call God and the image of a diamond set against mere pebbles. Compare 0791, where the same priority for Hari-Hara appears in the rejection of village deities in favor of Vishnu and Shiva alone — the same insistence, but here worked out through the question of whom else to call God and the diamond-versus-pebbles image. "Hari-Hara, abandoning such a lead bull" is the precise image of never abandoning the one who guides and pulls everything forward.
