Abhanga 822
When focused devotion is held with the whole body and mind without wandering, it settles into a stable inner peace that simply wants to bow at the feet of the beloved.

For someone today
Tukaram prays that this one vision of God simply stays with him, that his eyes and mind keep clinging to it and refuse to wander off. He says he will hold onto it with his whole being, locking it in again and again, and offer his very body as the lamp in an act of devotion, the way one waves a flame before a beloved image. When that focus finally reaches its peak, it does not fade away, it settles quietly and stably inside him, becoming part of who he is rather than a fleeting feeling. And from that settled place, all he wants, tenderly, is to fall at the feet of his beloved Viṭhōbā.
