Having surrendered completely, you can ask God to honor his own reputation as protector of the fallen and make room for you despite your faults.

तुझा शरणागत जालों मी अंकित । करीं माझें हित पांडुरंगा ॥१॥ पतितपावन तुझी ब्रीदावळी । ते आतां सांभाळीं मायबापा ॥ध्रु.॥ अनाथाचा नाथ बोलतील संत । ऐकोनियां मात विश्वासलों ॥२॥ न करावी निरास न धरावें उदास । देई याचकास कृपादान ॥३॥ तुका म्हणे मी तों पातकांची रासी । देई पायापासीं ठाव देवा ॥४॥

For someone today
Tukaram says he has fully surrendered and marked himself as belonging to God, and now simply asks that his welfare be looked after. He leans on God's own reputation — savior of the fallen is a title God is known by, so Tukaram asks him to live up to it now. He trusted because he heard the saints themselves say God protects the helpless, and that testimony was enough. He asks plainly not to be turned away or met with indifference, and admits he's nothing but a heap of wrongdoing — still, he asks for just a small place near God's feet.
मराठी: तुकाराम म्हणतात, मी पूर्णपणे शरण आलो आहे, स्वतःला देवाचा अंकित मानलं आहे, आता फक्त एवढंच मागतो की माझी काळजी घेतली जावी. ते देवाच्याच लौकिकावर विसंबतात — पतितपावन ही देवाची ओळखच आहे, म्हणून तुकाराम विनंती करतात की आता ती ओळख खरी करून दाखवा. संतांनीच सांगितलं की देव अनाथांचा नाथ आहे, हे ऐकूनच त्यांचा विश्वास बसला. ते स्पष्टपणे विनंती करतात की मला नाकारू नका, उदासीनतेने वागवू नका, आणि कबूल करतात की मी केवळ पापांची रास आहे — तरीही मला तुझ्या चरणांजवळ थोडी जागा दे.
