Abhanga 1126
Tukaram says Pandurang already knew the secret feeling hidden in his heart, and acted accordingly, before he even had to explain it. A promise once given by God never falls short or fails, because he is the mother of all who have no one else. Tuka asks him, as a beggar asking his own mother and father, to fulfill this one hope, and says his fear has already been destroyed, though a little sense of separateness still lingered. Now that he feels completely secure and unafraid, he says he will spend his life singing God's boundless virtues.

अंतरीचा भाव जाणोनिया गुज । तैसे केले काज पांडुरंगा ॥१॥ घातले वचन न पडेचि खाली । तू आम्हा माउली अनाथांची ॥ध्रु.॥ मज याचकाची पुरवावी आशा । पंढरीनिवासा मायबापा ॥२॥ नाशिली आशंका माझिया जीवाची । उरली भेदाची होती काही ॥३॥ तुका म्हणे आतां केलो मी निर्भर । गाईन अपार गुण तुझे ॥४॥
Literal translation
Antarīcā bhāva guja — kāja Pāṇḍurangā. Vacana — māulī anātha. Yācaka āśā — Pandharī-nivāsa. Āśankā nāśilī — bhēda urala. Tuka says: nirbhara — apāra guṇa.

मराठी: तुकाराम म्हणतात की पांडुरंगाला आपल्या मनातील गुप्त भाव आधीच कळला होता, आणि त्यानुसार त्याने काम केले, सांगण्याची गरजच पडली नाही. देवाने दिलेले वचन कधीच खाली पडत नाही, कारण तोच अनाथांची माउली आहे. तुका एका भिकाऱ्यासारखे आपल्या माय-बापाकडे एकच आशा पुरवण्याची विनंती करतात, आणि सांगतात की माझी भीती नाहीशी झाली आहे, तरी थोडासा भेदभाव अजून उरला होता. आता पूर्णपणे निर्भय आणि निश्चिंत झाल्यावर ते म्हणतात, मी आयुष्यभर तुझे अपार गुण गाईन.
