भोग द्यावे देवा । त्याग भोगीं च बरवा ॥१॥ आपण व्हावें एकीकडे । देव कळेवरी जोडे ॥ध्रु.॥ योजे यथाकाळें । उत्तम पाला कंदें मूळें ॥२॥ वंचक त्यासी दोष । तुका म्हणे मिथ्या सोस ॥३॥

The opening: bhōga dyāvē dēvā — tyāga bhōgī chi baravā — give bhoga to deva — tyāga in the very-bhoga is best. Bhakti-paradox: bhoga (= enjoyment / experience) is-given-to-deva; tyāga (= renunciation) is achieved-within-the-bhoga-itself. (= not by avoiding-bhoga, but by-offering-it-to-deva — that's tyāga.)
The side-line: āpaṇa hō'āvē ēkīkaḍē — deva kaḷēvarī jōḍē — be on one side, yourself — deva joins on the body / in due time. Kaḷēvarī = on-the-body / in-due-time (the word has both meanings). Stand-aside; the deva-himself joins-(you/the-action)-at-the-right-time.
The natural-application: yōjē yathā-kāḷē — uttama pālā kandēm mūḷē — applies at-its-time, the best — leaves, tubers, roots. At-the-right-time, even the simple offerings (leaves, tubers, roots = the bhakta's-offerings, after the Bhāgavata-Gītā 9.26 patram puṣpam phalam tōyam) are uttama (best). (= deva accepts the simple offerings at-the-right-bhāva-time.)
The closing: vañcaka tyāsī dōṣa — Tukā mhaṇē mithyā sōsa — the deceiver has dōṣa — Tuka says — false-craving. Vañcaka = deceiver / fraudulent; mithyā-sōsa = false-craving / pretended-suffering. The fraudulent-claimant of-tyāga (= the false-renunciate) has dōṣa; his-renunciation is mithyā-sōsa (= performative-suffering, fake).
The implicit-teaching: true tyāga is not avoidance-of-bhoga but-offering-it-to-deva; the deva joins-at-the-right-time; simple-offerings are accepted; fake-tyāga (vañcaka with mithyā-sōsa) is dōṣa. Vārkarī-stance: live-the-householder-life with bhoga-offered-to-Hari, rather than fake-renunciation.
