नारे तरि काय नुजेडे कोंबडें । करूनियां वेडें आघ्रो दावी ॥१॥ आइत्याचें साहे फुकाचा विभाग । विक्षेपानें जग ची थू करी ॥ध्रु.॥ नेमून ठेविला करत्यानें काळ । नल्हायेसें बळ करूं पुढें ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे देव साहे जाल्यावरी । असांग चि करी सर्व संग ॥३॥ ॥७॥

English: If [the cock] doesn't crow — doesn't it dawn? Makes [him] a fool — shows ego. Ready things — the free share — by distraction the world says 'thū' (spit). The doer has fixed the time — we won't put strength forward. Tuka says: when the Lord helps — the asanga makes all sanga. ॥7॥
