What-amangaḷa-time arose?
Tukārām's bad-time-at-kathā; duṣṭa-vāṇī-fell-into-ears observation
The verse
काय ऐसी वेळ । वोडवली अमंगळ ॥१॥
आजि दुखवलें मन । कथाकाळीं जाला सीण ॥ध्रु.॥
पापाचिया गुणें । त्यांचिया वेळे दर्षणें ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे कानीं । घालूं आले दुष्टवाणी ॥३॥
Literal translation
What-amangaḷa-time arose? Today mana-pained, sīṇa at-kathā-time. By-pāpa's-guṇa, at-their-veḷa darśana. Tukā: came-to-kāna duṣṭa-vāṇī.
