Tukārām's striking-self-image: I am-your-watchdog — my-bhakti is-my-collar.
The verse
सांखळिलों प्रीती गळां । भुंके वेळा जाणोनियां ॥१॥
तुमचें मी केशीराजा । सुनें या काजा पाळिलों ॥ध्रु.॥
आलें गेलें कळे वाटा । कोण निटा वाकडिया ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे आलें वारी । दुरितें दुरी नातळतां ॥३॥
Literal translation
Chained-by-prīti-on-neck; bark-at-(right)-veḷa, knowing. Your-sune, Keśīrāja, kept-for-this-kāja. Know-coming-going-vāṭa, niṭa-vāḍakiyā. Tukā: came-running, duritas-far, untouched.
