Abhanga 3320
Real clarity about the emptiness of worldly life usually comes only through bitter experience, and that is when people finally turn to God.
When a difficult experience opens your eyes to how empty your old pursuits actually were.
When you notice that only a crisis or breakdown pushed you to seek God seriously.
When you want a stable foothold in God rather than continuing to chase an illusion.
The verse
आतां बरें जालें । माझें मज कळो आलें ॥१॥
खोटा ऐसा संवसार । मज पायीं द्यावी थार ॥ध्रु.॥
उघडले डोळे । भोग देताकाळीं कळे ॥
तुका म्हणे जीवा । होतां तडातोडी देवा ॥३॥
Literal translation
Now-good — my-self-came-to-be-known. Samsāra-khōṭā — give-thāra-at-feet. Eyes-opened — at-bhōga-time-known. Tukā: jīva — when-taḍātōḍī — Deva.
