When the whole world feels empty, admit your helplessness honestly and trust that God is the giver who provides for those who have nothing.
The verse
पाहें तिकडे दिशा ओस । अवघी पास पायांपें ॥१॥
मन चि साच होइल कई । प्रेम देई भेटोनि ॥ध्रु.॥
सर्वापरि पांगुळ असें । न कळे कैंसे तें तुम्हा ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे कृपावंता । तूं तों दाता दीनाचा ॥३॥
Literal translation
Wherever-I-look diśā-ōsa — all-pāsa at-pāyā. When-will mana become-sācha — give-prēma by-meeting. In-every-way pānguḷa — doesn't-you-know-how. Tukā: krpā-full — you the-dātā-of-the-dīna.

Wherever Tukaram looks, the world feels empty and deserted, everything he is really attached to comes back to God's feet alone. He asks a raw question, when will my own mind actually become sincere, not just going through motions? He wants a real meeting, a felt love, not distant belief. He admits plainly that he is helpless in every way and trusts that God already understands exactly how weak he is. He ends by naming what he is counting on, that God is the one who gives to those who have nothing.
