When you are wholly received, you no longer need to escape or end. The fear-of-death loosens at the boundary where mine and yours dissolve.
The verse
न लगे मरावें । ऐसा ठाव दिला देवें ॥१॥
माझ्या उपकारासाटीं । वागविला म्हुण कंठीं ॥ध्रु.॥
घरीं दिला ठाव । अवघा सकळ ही वाव ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे एके ठायीं । कोठें माझें तुझें नाहीं ॥३॥
Literal translation
Na lage marāve — aisā ṭhāva dilā deve — no need to die — such a place Deva has given. Mājhyā upakārāsāṭīm — vāgavilā mhaṇa kamṭhīm — for my upakāra-sake — carried (me) in (his) throat. Gharīm dilā ṭhāva — avaghā sakaḷa hī vāva — gave place in (his) house — all the rest is empty. Tukā mhaṇe eke ṭhāyīm — koṭhe mājhē tujhē nāhīm — Tukā says: in one place — nowhere is mine or yours.
What it means
A 3-verse text of non-dual-arrival. No need to die — because liberation has already arrived: the place is given. The image of kamṭhī-vāgavilā (carried-in-throat) — like a mother carrying a child she will not put down, or like a precious ornament worn — speaks of being-carried-by-Lord-himself. Climax: no mine-or-yours — advaita-ekībhāva.
