Abhanga 3398
At the end, ask simply to rest at God's feet, letting go of the sense of separateness and trusting that one heartfelt longing will be enough.

What it means
A 3-verse end-petition. I've crumpled the body, set aside the jīva-shiva distinction; let me rest at your feet.
For someone today
Tukaram speaks as if at the very end of things, asking simply to rest at God's feet, offering up his words like flowers. He pleads with Pandurang not to overlook someone destitute like himself, reminding him that he is the giver of grace to the whole world. He describes folding away the body and letting go of the very distinction between the individual soul and the divine, so that nothing separate remains standing between them. His final request is small but complete, his mind is already at those feet, and he asks only that this one urgent longing be fulfilled.
