Abhanga 3437

Tukārām: no-chintā, but-hold-bhaya; Nārāyaṇa-himself-protects.

Tukārām's no-chintā-but-bhaya; Nārāyaṇa-rikṣatā-himself; no-parihāra-no-uttara canonical-confidence

The verse

न करावी चिंता । भय धरावें सर्वथा ॥१॥ दासां साहे नारायण । होय रिक्षता आपण ॥ध्रु.॥ न लगे परिहार । कांहीं योजावें उत्तर ॥२॥ न धरावी शंका । नये बोलों म्हणे तुका ॥३॥

Literal translation

No-chintā — hold-bhaya. Dāsa-supported-by-Nārāyaṇa — he-rikṣatā-himself. No-parihāra-needed — no-uttara. Don't-hold-śankā — don't-speak says-Tukā.

What it means

A 3-verse refuge-confidence text. Don't worry (about consequences) — but always hold reverential bhaya; Nārāyaṇa himself protects; no remedy or reply needed; don't doubt — don't even need to speak. The chintā/bhaya distinction is theologically careful.
