Literal translation
Ātām taḷamaḷa — now the taḷamaḷa; kelī pāhije sītaḷa — must be made sītaḷa. Karīla te pāhe Deva — see what Deva will do; pāyīm ṭhevuniyām bhāva — placing bhāva at (his) feet. Tō chi anna-dātā — he alone is anna-dātā; nāhī āṇikāmñcī sattā — no other's sattā. Tukā mhaṇe dāsā — Tukā says: of the dāsa; nupekṣīla hā bharavasā — (he will) not neglect — this is bharavasā.
What it means
A short 3-verse surrender-and-confidence text by Tukārām.
The argument: Cool-the-taḷamaḷa-now; see-what-Deva-will-do; place-bhāva-at-feet. He-alone-is-anna-dātā; no-other-has-sattā. He-won't-neglect-the-dāsa — this-is-the-bharavasā.
★ The anna-dātā (giver-of-food) emphasis is canonical-Vārkarī: Deva-is-the-sole-source-of-livelihood. Compare-3046 (ayāchita-vrtti is-sāra; deva-bhāra).
For someone today
Tukārām's Deva-is-anna-dātā surrender. Now the anxiety must be made cool. See what Deva will do — placing bhāva at (his) feet. He alone is anna-dātā (giver-of-food); no other has authority. Of the dāsa, (he will) not neglect — this is the confidence. The verse permits the canonical bhakti-surrender: Lord-alone-feeds; of-the-dāsa-no-neglect.
