Once-pōṭa-full, no-paratī; niśchintī — play-sweet.
The verse
पोट धालें मग न लगे परती । जालिया निश्चिंती खेळ गोड ॥१॥
आपुलिया हातें देईं वो कवळ । विठ्ठल शीतळ जीवन वरी ॥ध्रु.॥
घराचा विसर होईंल आनंद । नाचेन मी छंदें प्रेमाचिया ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे तों च वरी करकर । मग हें उत्तर खंडईंल ॥३॥
Literal translation
Once-pōṭa-full, no-paratī; niśchintī — play-sweet. Give-kavaḷa-with-own-hand — Viṭhṭhal-cool-jīvana-on-top. Forget-house, dance-to-prema-chanda. Tukā: kara-kara-continues-until-then — uttara-breaks-off.
What it means
A 3-verse mother-feeds-baby text. When the belly is full, no return; give the mouthful with your own hand; I'll forget the house and dance to prema's rhythm; until then I'll keep asking — then this refrain will break off. Domestic-bhakti at-table.
