Trusting that grace will come can steady your resolve and fill your waiting, even when you don't know exactly what you'll receive or when.
The verse
द्याल ऐसें दिसे । तुमचें साचपण इच्छे ॥१॥
म्हणऊनि न भंगे निर्धार । केलें लोचनें सादर ॥ध्रु.॥
मुखाची च वास । पुरला पाहे अवकाश ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे कळे । काय लाभ कोण वेळ ॥३॥
Literal translation
Appears-you-will-give — sāchapaṇa-is-ichchhē. Nirdhāra-doesn't-break — lōchana-sādara. Just-vāsa-of-mukha — avakāśa-exhausted. Tukā: comes-to-know — what-lābha-what-vēḷa.
What it means
A 3-verse waiting-text. It appears you'll give; therefore decision doesn't break; just for your face's scent, the opportunity is full; what gain, what time, comes to know.

This verse captures the quiet certainty of someone who trusts they will be given what they long for. Because it seems true that grace will come, Tukārām's resolve does not waver, his eyes stay respectfully fixed, watching. He says he is sustained by just the faintest scent of that divine presence, and even that small hint feels like it fills the whole waiting space. In the end he admits he doesn't fully know what he'll gain or when, but the not-knowing doesn't shake his patience.
मराठी: ही ओवी अशा माणसाची शांत खात्री सांगते ज्याला विश्वास आहे की त्याला हवं ते नक्की मिळेल. कृपा नक्की मिळणार आहे असं वाटत असल्याने तुकारामांचा निर्धार डळमळत नाही, त्यांचे डोळे आदराने त्या दिशेने लागलेले राहतात. ते म्हणतात की त्या दैवी अस्तित्वाच्या नुसत्या गंधानेही त्यांना पुरेसं समाधान मिळतं, आणि तेवढा छोटासा इशाराही सगळी वाट भरून टाकतो. शेवटी ते कबूल करतात की काय मिळणार, कधी मिळणार हे त्यांना नीट माहीत नाही, पण या अनिश्चिततेने त्यांचा धीर ढळत नाही.
