Abhanga 3709

When your resolve is sincere and God already knows the truth of your heart, it is fair to ask boldly for the grace that generosity itself promises, without further delay.

When you have made a sincere decision with no hidden doubts and are waiting for the promised follow-through
When you trust that someone already knows the full truth of your heart, good and flawed alike
When you speak to God or a close friend with honest directness, asking why they still hold something against you

The verse

Literal translation

If-do-now-really — considered-give-krpā-dāna. No-vikalpa-to-sankalpa — you-know-puṇya-pāpa. Udāra-śakti-yours — bridāvaḷī-thunders. Tukā: Rakumādēvī-vara — why-uparōdha-toward-me.

What it means

A 3-verse petition. If you do it, do it really now; give krpā-dāna after consideration; I made the sankalpa with no second-thought; you know puṇya-pāpa; the generous-power is yours, your epithet-procession thunders; husband-of-Rukmiṇī, why hold reproach toward me now?

For someone today

Tukārām: Rakumādēvī-vara — why-uparōdha-now?
