What it means
★ A 9-verse chain-rhyme Dīnanātha-petition. Much-distressed in this human-body — look with grace, Pāṇḍurangā. Deva of all devas — take my service, Dīnanātha. Dīnanātha is your title in the three-worlds — mother-father, take down this burden. Take me quickly to the far-shore; give complete-joy at your feet. Keep me near feet always — I've held your hope for many days. I'm watching the path, day-and-night meditating your Name. Your Name is sweet, the bhakta loves it; you take bhaktas on your shoulder. On the shoulder you play with them lovingly; your foot shines on the brick. Standing on the brick I saw with the eye; you fulfil the mana-festival. Fulfil quickly, Trailōkya-svāmī — Tukā places his embrace on your feet, by bhāva. Dīnanātha-bhrida foundational: Dīnanātha is your sworn-name in the three-worlds, so the burden must come down. This is the formal bhrida-argument — invoking the Lord's title-of-vow as binding obligation.
