Literal translation
Sōvaḷa-became — deva-angīkāra. Others-do-bhōjana — fill-belly-durjana. Escaped-bhāra — others-yera-jhāra. Tukā: dāsa-became — no-nāśa.
What it means
A 3-verse pure-by-being-Deva's text. He became pure — Deva made him his own. Others do eating — to fill the belly, the wicked-ones. He has escaped this load; theirs continues to be the rebirth-cycle. Tukā says: he who became a servant — for him there is no destruction. Reframe: sōvaḷa-(ritual-purity) is no-longer-from-bath-or-caste-or-rule, but-from-Deva-making-one-his-own (angīkāra). Pair with 3113 (true-purity sōmvaḷe-sāche), 4227 (mānga-touched anti-pollution-ritual).
For someone today
Tukārām: purity-comes-from-Deva-making-you-his-own — not-from-ritual; the-Lord's-servant-doesn't-perish.
